WELCOME TO SCREENWRITING SIMPLIFIED

Welcome to Magnificent724.com. Whether you found your way here searching for screenwriting tips, details on the Magnificent 7–24 Method, more information about screenwriter and professor Ron Mita, or just wondering if it’s hard to write a screenplay, you’re in the right place.

I built this site to share my process as a working screenwriter. I’ve had four produced features that have earned over $550,000,000 at the box office and beyond, and everything here comes straight from real-world experience in the industry and over 20 years of teaching screenwriting at the college level.

This is the only place you can learn the Magnificent 7–24 Method, the same structure I use professionally and the foundation of how I teach screenwriting.

Think of this site as a blueprint. Not theory. Not guesswork. A practical system you can use to take an idea and turn it into a finished screenplay.

Inside, you’ll learn the Magnificent 7–24 Method, access recorded lectures, review samples of both produced and unproduced work, and find information about the classes I teach at College of the Canyons.

Everything here is free. No gimmicks. No paywalls. Just the information I wish I had when I first got to Hollywood.

BEWARE OF PROFITEERS

SCREENWRITING GURUS ARE A SCAM

Hollywood is populated by three kinds of people: doers, dreamers, and deceptions.

Everyone wants to be a doer. The people who actually make things happen. The ones getting stories told, seeing their names on the silver screen, building careers one project at a time.

Most people spend at least part of their journey as dreamers. That phase can be frustrating, exhausting, and mentally difficult. But having a dream still matters. In many ways, it’s the fuel that keeps writers moving forward when the industry gives them every reason to quit.

But be wary of the deceptions.

Those are the people looking to profit from your ambition rather than help you build it. For screenwriters, they often appear online as “screenwriting gurus” with questionable credits, selling mentorships, coaching packages, seminars, and secret storytelling formulas. All for a price. Sometimes thousands of dollars. Money most aspiring writers simply cannot afford to lose.

Ask yourself a simple question: if these gurus possess such incredible storytelling superpowers, why aren’t they selling screenplays themselves?

Save your money.

Start here on this website. Learn the fundamentals. Study structure. Write scripts. Then, if you want formal instruction, look into an affordable screenwriting program at a local community college where you can test these principles without mortgaging your future chasing someone else’s “masterclass” or paying for the privilege of a zoom session.

Consider this your first lesson, and like everything else on this site, it was free.
